My 25 year old mare had the dentist today, she had an old root taken out which the dentist advised had slowly worked it’s way to the surface.
She also had a good rasp.
I went back up this evening and she was quidding, could manage grass and her feed fine but struggling with her hay.
Is this normal and she’s just getting used to eating again or is this something more serious?
Due to the bad fields at the moment she is in so requiring a lot more hay than normal so I am growing concerned if she is struggling to eat it since the rasping.
I must add that prior to the dentist visit she was managing hay fine.
Thank you in advance!
