Has anyone used this? Looks like a good concept but not sure how it works or how accurate the GPS is? I have brilliant off road hacking that goes for miles so would be good for when I take my TB out on longer rides on her own, but if it isn't that accurate then seems a little pointless!

I'll be getting it for Xmas :) I might take it for a 'test'. I'll go out with Archie by myself and put my phone on the ground and see if it can pin point it.
Do you need a smart phone to receive the alarm?

I bought the SOS one the other day.
Very simplistic and although tried it out in house, haven't been able to get horse out to try it yet :(

you open the application and theres a huge START button. click this and that's you.
it then flashes "Active" in a big button thats orange/yellow and shows "motion not detected" if you stop.
It vibrates and counts down a minute if you stop. If you continue on your journey, then it stops counting instantly. If your sound is on it makes a loud, dinging noise.
After your allocated time of being stationary a text is sent along with a link to a map of where you are located.

I will go out into woods tomorrow to see how accurate it is :D

you can change the settings for the alert delay: from 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 minutes

I was interested in this but the mobile reception in my part of Surrey is a bit patchy - not sure if this will cause lots of false reports or not!
