Horse Riding School in Preston area?

Hello,

Hoping someone may be able to advise.... I am looking at joining a horse riding school in Preston for some lessons.

I am late 20's and only done bits and pieces of lessons over the years so would consider myself a novice! I am confident with well behaved horses (haha) but would like to improve my skills and ultimately be able to go out on a hack.

I've heard a few bad stories of different schools of bossy teachers etc, so would appreciate any recommendations?

Wrea Green is good, has a varied range of horses/ponies.

I second wrae green, but there is also becconsall in tarleton where my friend rides and thoroughly enjoys it

I rode at Wrea Green about 25 years ago, just for a couple of lessons. It was great - fantastic horses and a good level of instruction. Obviously don't know what it is like now though....

Eccleston is great. I tried a few and found it to be the best for me. Private half hour lessons are very reasonably priced too

Eccleston is great, variety of horses all shapes and sizes can do beginners to more advanced, and have a mix of teachers so can find the one that suits you best. It was the best place I found around and I visited a fair few before going there

Eccleston, becconsall and wrea green are all worth a try for an adult.

Another vote for Wrea green. They make it fun & have a loyalty scheme.
