I couldn't sleep last night so was laid in bed watching Jeremy Kyle at stupid o'clock this morning! Anyway an advert came on about how drivers should be when there are horse riders on the road. It is a good advert, but I don't recall ever seeing it on during the day!

I may be wrong it may be on during the day but if its not what is the point of playing it early in the morning when everyone is asleep!

I've never ever seen one on through the day, only ever late at night....the fact they don't (or if they do it's very rarely) show it through the day is so frustrating

The majority of government sponsored adverts are on at ridiculous times of the night. I think it's because the cost is so much cheaper.....the government can then say that they have mounted an awareness campaign.....whether anyone actually sees the adverts appears to matter little.

I saw it at about 3am this morning too - first time in years. Mind you, it would need to be prime time to get people to see it, but that would probably do their entire annual budget in one go.

Surely ads like these are worth the extra cost if its saving lives, so i dont understand why they dont put them on in primetime??

I was awake then too Lizzy(still ill lol), and saw it. Ive seen it before but like you say only early hours in the morning.
The advert isnt v good anyway IMO, the only thing it seems to stress is that if your car might get damaged!

I had much the same thought, but then sadly that's probably the only reason why many would be considerate of horses. The BHS are probably just using the best way to get the end result...if it works (for those 3am folks who are watching repeats of Jeremy Kyle

) then who cares why they slow down?
