Horse rolling

My retired horse has arthritis and when rolling always grunts and groans but rolls right over once or twice and rolls most days when turned out. Do most horses make noises when they roll cant say Ive ever been there when someone elses rolls ?

my gelding rolls grunts, blows, gets up shakes somtimes followed by bucking and farting or sometimes just ambles over to the water trough ...

Oh yes! You should hear some of the grunts that come out of my two when they roll, it’s like pure bliss to them. They usually finish by having a good old fart!

This morning when he got up he stuck his neck in and out like Del Trotter does !

One of our two loves rolling, and he farts and grunts away.

a whole range of un-ladylike noises from my mare! She really goes for it and flings herself back and forth with all sorts of grunts and groans. Usually finished off with a buck and a fart before she settles to graze!
