Just been horse napping.
One of ours went out on trial to who seemed a lovely Lady. She was introduced by an acqaitance.
Stopped hearing from her, did not return calls/emails.
Went to see her last week - empty field and all fencing gone!
Tracked the horse down - good thing about villages!
Tried contacting the person for a few days, still no reply.
Brought the horse back this morning.
Very put off loaning any more out!

I thought you were posting about your horse napping....

Sounds like you were lucky to find the horse. I wonder if she will call you when she realises that it is missing?

I realised what i had put after

dont be put off by this woman not all people are like this
just if you do put her out on loan keep her at your yard or where shes keeped so you know where she is and how shes being looked after
glad you got her back there seems to be alot of this at the moment

Thank goodness you got her back. It seems there is a lot of this about at the moment - apologies to all of you who are genuine loaners, but I would never, ever put a horse out on loan or trial and I would never have one on loan either. Over the years, I have just heard too many horror stories. I wonder what the woman will do when she turns up and the horse is gone. Hope it doesn't turn really nasty.

Make sure you let us know what the woman does/says when she realises the horse is gone....if she does do anything!!

I'm sorry you've had this experience and I know how you can feel about not wanting to loan your horse again! As a loanee myself I know that there ARE good people out there...but they're not always easy to find!!

I'd certainly keep her at your own yard if you really do need to loan her again though!!
