Hi all,
After lots of thinking I think I've decided that I would like to get a two ponies from an auction to bring on and join our team.
I already have 4 horses/ponies of varying disciplines and heights and due to my current two stepping up to BE100, I have put them all on a DIY livery yard with excellent facilities to help with training as we have no arena at home! Therefore meaning I have a field and two stables empty just sitting here being wasted!
I would ideally like to get something that I can back and bring on which will be suitable for my younger sister who in a few years will be to big for our beloved family pony (who will never be going anywhere!!). I will be going to the sales with my instructor to help me select a couple of ponies as it will be my first time.
Sooo.. What auctions are there in the south east and have a max journey of 2hrs from Berkshire?
Also what should be looking for when buying them? I have already decided I will get them both vetted with the vet that is onsite and I would want to have a feel down their legs etc before hand. I am thinking I would like two Native breeds like a NF or similar due to their nature and versatility.
TIA
