Horse Share

Hey

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on horse sharing. I'm looking to put my advanced medium dressage horse out to share to help with covering the costs of keeping him - Surrey isn't a cheap place.

I also think it would be a great opportunity for someone to gain experience on an advanced horse without the cost of buying one.

With regards to costs, how do sharers/owners normally split things?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

i'd split it so that they pay for their share of the horse i know some people are put off if you then make them pay extra (for vaccinations, farrier etc) instead of it being 'all inclusive'

In Surrey going rate for 2 days a week, no chores seems to be £200 per month

I think it depends on what facilities are available (indoor school? Onsite trainer?) and what you are happy for the sharer to do with your horse. Is it just dressage or can they hack out, go to shows etc?

Last year I was paying £200 per month for a horse on full livery riding 2/3 times a week. I could do most things except jumping.
