Hi all, so my loan horse is going to go back in two weeks.
I will be looking for something to buy. Not a huge budget, £2500.
Don't mind about height as I am only 5 ft 3in, but it must be able to carry up to 11st, so probably a coblet type, and no taller than 15.2/3.
I lost my confidence a while back and am on the wrong side of 40 to lose it again.
Now said horse can be a mare or gelding, I have a mini shet so it must be able to live with a mare.
I have them at home, so as long as it can cope with a quiet yard, as its just me.
100% bombproof on the roads is a must, although our roads aren't busy, we are in the middle of nowhere so what we do meet is unusual, ie lots of tractors, clattery trailers, lorries etc, must hack alone with no issues. Everything else I will be happy to work with, ie schooling, jumping, as long as there's no sillyness.
Do you think I am asking too much? Not started looking yet.
So if anyone enjoys trawling through adverts then please be my guest.
Thanx in advance
Kate

From someone who's completely biased - don't discount arabs, particularly if you can find an ex-endurance one. If I could clone my grey, she would fulfill everything you want. :)

I am in north lincolnshire so why not come and visit if you are near enough and you can have a play to see what you would like. we have three ponies here to give you an idea you would be very welcome or again if you are near enough and prefer a public occasion we will be at Faldingworth rainbow show on monday with two Not selling yet but it would be helpful for you to ride. pm if you would like to meet up we have maybe met already as we do get about a bit

Funny you say this my friend was looking for a safe hacking horse and last week we went to look at a grey arab gelding (totally the opposite of what she was after which was a bay sports horse type mare!). She has been looking for a new horse for 2 years, lost all confidence with a tb she had on loan last year. This chap is an angel, super safe and very well schooled, he comes home next weekend!

Definitely a horse out there for that price!!! In my opinion the price market where i am would all take offers. Have seen prices really drop recently as people are having trouble selling (inc me - well finally sold mine now)!!

Also horses for sale & loan on Facebook there are some gorgeous horses on there at the moment for very little money. If any of them are half as good as they sound you'll find something :)
