Hi, bit of an odd thread but bear with me.

Looking for help from any of you who like horse shopping, also do you think it will be possible to find this?
A friend of mine is looking for a horse but on loan.
She is looking for something 15.2+ MW or HW, any type really, any age as long as she can do some hacking, schooling, dressage not really bothered about jumping. Said horse would have an excellent home, she is very experienced and has access to great facilities and trainers.
She has always had horses of her own but with the recession etc cannot really afford to shell out for a new one atm although can afford all monthly bills plus all the extras, farrier, chiro, dentist etc.

So back to the point do you think it will be possible to find said horse? Possibly even loan with view to buy in a set amount of time or something, and if so where to find said horse?

Any help would be appreciated :D

Oh you sound like your describing me lol :D
Tad useless sorry, I am struggling to find something (although potential is on the horizon) :D

Unfortunetly not many people are loaning decent horses at the minute (if they are, owner insists it must stay at current yard) if your pal is willing to take on something difficult/unsound she stands more of a chance.

I have been looking for a horse to loan with view to buy since Feb, after finding nothing suitable on this basis I am having to buy outright.

Livery costs £200+ a month with farrier/insurance etc on top of this. Why doesn't your pal save up this amount for 6 months? You can buy a fairly decent horse in today's market for around £1200-£2200.

erm everywhere and anywhere :D

Preloved
equine right
horses to loan
horse mart
horsequest
the horse exchange.

they are more challenging, at the moment the biggest hurdle I have found is they want them to stay at their yard! It doesn't help when none of them are in north oxfordshire :D
Erm oh and project horses
Hope that is of some use :D

Shes impatient lol, she is saving up but if the right loan horse came up in the mean time she would go for it :)
