Hi. What type of event are you looking for? Whereabouts in Cardiff are you?
I'm in Caerphilly so just outside Cardiff. I look in the local tack shop eg JMP in Thornhill, or the farm shop in Thornhill, keep an eye out on hacks for flyers, look at what's going on at Sunnybank EC in Caerphilly, look at the SAFE website, am in a local riding club so get dates from there, check out he BHS website, look in Welsh Rider magazine. Mind you, I've kept an eye out and there's nothing much on for me to do this weeend excep spring clean the stables (but am skint so that's probably a good thing, lol)

Oooh, have just remembered, Pentyrch Hunt have a pleasure ride going from the Black Cock pub (just off Caerphilly Mountain) on June 29th! Don't know if that's any good for you?

I'm with the Rhyddid. How far are you from Sunnybank in Caerphilly? Do you have someone you could hack over there with? I don't have transport unless I can scab a lift from someone on the yard so regularly ride over to compete there and with the riding club at a venue just down the road. If you've got a friend who'll go with you or someone else who'll hel you can leave a car with your stuff in there and hack over. We look a bit pikey (especially with my hary coloured cob) but I do it a lot and managed to win the x-country section of the last ODE!
At the moment it's going ahead on that date, my YM is on the hunt committee so we have a head's up on dates
