• Do you often struggle to find time to give your horse all the attention you’d like to?

• Are you busy at work & need some help keeping him fit?

• Or do you worry about going away & leaving him with friends or family who might not have the time to do everything that you normally would?

Whatever your situation I can help. I have over 18 years of riding experience, over 10 years of experience in working with horses & I have a Degree in Equine Science from the University of Aberdeen.

I am looking to start up my own horse care business by April 2008 & am currently doing market research to determine how much of a demand there will be for such a company within a 20 mile radius of Drumoak – including Aberdeen, Banchory, Westhill & Kingswells.

If you would be so kind as to email me at MobileLiveryServices@gmail.com that would be a huge help. I will then email you my proposed services list and price plan & it may mean I’m available before you go on your next holiday!

Ummm... there's already a company who do this - Animal Crackers although I think maybe they're more over Old Meldrum way (may be wrong).

I personally wouldn't use this sort of service purely because its cheaper and easier to use friends!

And remember no advertising on the forum....

Thanks for your reply. Animal Crackers do a "horse watch" services, but as she is also looking after tonnes of other animals I would question how much time and attention she would give my horse.

I also asked friends to look after my horse in the past but found that they barely rode him because they were too busy with their own horses and also I wouldn't think it fair to expect them to have to go up to the yard at 7am every morning to turn my horse out when their horses lived out all year. Also, I wouldn't wish my filthy horse's stable on my worst enemy without at least paying for the trauma they'd have to go through to muck him out - how any creature can pee and poop so much I will never know

Yeah, I guess she probably is busy so there maybe is room for another service like this.

Only thing I see problem-wise is that I personally (and I can't think my friends would either) wouldn't want a stranger (no offence, but thats what you'd be obviously!) riding our horses. I wouldn't allow anyone to work my horses while I was away anyway! I guess, you have to do it for friends first and built up a reputation for this sort of thing.

With my friends, we do a good swap where basically I've looked after theirs and they return the favour whenever needed.

I really do wish you the best of luck though, it is a good idea
