So I was due to go out to my first show with the loan po.
He looked beautiful absolutely beautiful, my gear was all immaculate, we knew our dressage test inside out back to front and upside down. The lorry arrive to take us and I was pleasantly surprised at how light and airy it was. Would he load?? No!

He usually takes 5 or 10 minutes to figure it out, a shake of a feed bucket and a flash of a carrot and he gets straight on no problems. Yesterday it took us an hour and a half, and we didn't get him on. We had to stop as someone was going to get hurt.

The lorry itself had a wood floor and a bit of a steep ramp. Because of his abnormal reluctance to load, I wondered if he knew it wasn't safe and therefore whatever we could try, he wouldn't get on?

P.S: Its not all doom and gloom, I got over my fear of jumping and did a course of 2ft crosspoles... can only be onwards and upwards from here!
