Merry Christmas to everyone!

In a moment of madness I decided that I would make the most of it and quickly lunge my mare this morning. I soon regretted this after she decided it would be great fun to have bucking fits in our transitions to canter and proceeded to slip over and land on her side. was only in the school so was a fairly soft landing and she seemed fine afterwards but I'm a bit worried she may be a bit stiff later. I have an equilibrium massage pad and mit so was thinking about putting that in her when I bring her in as a preventive measure but then I wondered whether i was best leaving nature to do its thing and only intervened if she looks sore. Anyone have any thoughts?
Bucks fizz on offer!!

Merry Christmas to all!!

Merry Xmas!
My mare has done this a few times - what are they like...
She's always jumps back up and carried on as if nothing has happened - I also have the equilibrium pad and using it can't do any harm can it!? I also have her checked by a back lady every six months - she can find minor sore spots when she visits which could be equated to her falls... Then again she could just of easily fallen in the field - who knows?
Am sure your girl will be fine with no lasting damage :)

Thank you! Yes I'm sure she will be fine and as you say probably does much worse in the field! Think I'm just paranoid! As you say bad pad can't do any harm.

Enjoy your Xmas :-)

She either hurt her self and in that case you should really let nature do it's thing. Doing anything will only make it worse.
Or she is fine and then she is fine. I would say turn her out so she can stretch and move. Tomorrow just loose school her a bit in walk, trot canter to she how she moves and just be gentle on her she is not stiff to be n the save side. Otherwise you do want to leave it for several days before doing anything.
Hope she is fine!
