I was annoyed the other year, I was selling rugs, one had a sizeable hole in it which I made sure to clearly photograph and priced accordingly (it was a stable rug so no need to be waterproof).
Someone offered to buy all the rugs ‘for her mare’.
Within a couple of days they were back up for sale, for more money and with the hole ‘hidden’ ?
Oh thats cheeky!
Donkeys years ago i did a car boot sale, a fairly large established one, so good for selling lots of stuff as many buyers. This guy bought our entire collection of 1st edition stephen king books - we gave him a job lot deal of £10, thinking he was a fan of the author - only to walk around the stalls later and see he was a fellow stall holder and had the books on sale for a fiver each! ?
I personally wouldnt sell mucky stuff, and clean everything before sale - but i understand the cost of clean and repair for rugs is quite hefty, so would expect a large discount and at least the rug given a good brush off the worst of muck, if ever i was to consider it. It would have to be only minimally dirty.
Some sellers are great - i bought turnout muck boots and they arrived very clean yet stinking to high heaven of a fabric conditioner, like it had been sprayed-on neat!
