Horse Stung

My horse came in yesterday with a swollen lip! only on one side-got the vet out and he gave an anti inflammatory injection and looked like it was going down. This morning it has spread to where the bit would sit. Doesn't look anymore swollen just seems to be spreading. Anyone else come across this????

Might be worth having a very close look to see if there's a foreign body still stuck in her lip, eg splinter. Depending on where the swelling is, the bit might hurt so you might need to not ride. Keep on top of it as you don't want something simple turning into a nightmare x

Thanks-Had a good look yesterday and spoke to vet again. The swelling has gone down and no couldn't ride him like that. I think he has been stung by a hornet or something similar.
