I bought a pair of gaiters at a local shop by Horse Tech. They are leather and have an elasticated panel with the button at the bottom, which makes them a better fit for my large calf but not that large ankle. They are my all time favorite thing but are getting a little worn and could be replaced, but i can't seem to find anywhere to buy them 
the shop i got them at are somewhat the wheeler dealer type who gets things from auctions etc so they have not actually gotten them from the wholesale and thus don't/won't have anymore. The Horse Tech site doesn't have the same ones anymore so it may be a loosing battle but i would love to get another pair or two..
