Last night some men in a white transit van with an IFor Williams trailer tried to steal some ponies from a field in Ranton, Stafford. They were unsuccessful as they were disturbed by owner arriving.

Soooooooooooooooooooo glad they didn't take the horses!!
It was bad enough catching 2 idiots trying to steal my trailer, but (shudders) the thought of my horses being taken is just horried!!!
Ranton is not far from me at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mooch, yes am so glad too! Ranton is like 5mins away from us so not only am I worried about Pidge's leg but I'm worried about these low lives who go round trying to nick horses
Everyone on yard is aware now and all gates locked at end of night, plus we have CCTV and locks on each field! Pidge and Sunny are both microchipped as well, but seriously thinking about freezemarking as well!
Taking Pidge for his xrays and scans tomorrow so fingers crossed. He's fine in himself although very bored.............

Ranchgirl and Stormhorse, yes the incident was reported to the police and an incident number given. Don't know about Stafford Horsewatch as I only heard about this through the grapevine. Done the usual letting horsey mates know and to pass the word round and posting on here as quite a few on here are near here.
