Have just heard that a horse bolted with rider on road in Chailey, East Sussex on Sunday (2.1.2011) and horse was hit by a vehicle, - think rider had to be transported to hospital and as the horse was being walked home it spooked and got hit by another vehicle and broke its leg/legs and they had to sit on poor horse and wait for the vet for 45mins to put it out of its misery! Must of been terrible. RIP horsey and hope rider is ok. Such a terrible start to the new year.
