Hello!

Who would people recommend for horse trailer breakdown/recovery? Mine is due to renew and want to be sure I am with someone decent!

Thanks!

I am with equine rescue services. Have both trailer and tow vehicle with them for about £100 a year. A freind called them out to get car and They were very good. Always very helpful over the phone.

I'm with ERS through Shearwater, I already have cover for my car so have the cheaper version. They do an option for covering car and trailer/horses too.

Emergency assist. Got a deal off groupon for about £25 a year. When my tow car blew up (towing!) they sorted us right out. I was amazed considering they were so cheap!!

I'm with equine rescue with the lorry & I average 3 or 4 callouts per year yet they're still not sick of me! Not all of this is relevant to a trailer but they've come and jump started me at the yard so I could get to a garage, they've sent someone to change a tyre (also at the yard) & have towed the lorry to various garages for various reasons both near to home and from over a hundred miles away. Longest it's ever taken them to sort me out is about 2 1/2 hours and that was because the lorry picked during HOYS to break down so of course most of transporters to come and take the horse home were already booked for that and they had to send me someone from miles away! They even once sorted me out when I snapped key in ignition during a 3 day ride for charity and organised the recovery in such a way that I could still complete the ride (had many, many conversations with them about what the best way out of that situation was!)
