OK, trailer purchased and collecting @ weekend :D

Trailer Insurance will be going through E&L ...

BUT who do you use for your breakdown? We've got our two vehicles currently covered by GreenFlag but they only recover the trailer and not the horses as long as the trailer is less than 7m.

Who do you all get yours covered by? Ive seen RAC cover trailers/horses

Or alternatively do I stick with greenflag and then get additional trailer assistance - like equine rescue services??

Im assuming if say a wheel fell off (touch wood) then my normal breakdown would cover this? Or would they not? Ive just rang and unhelpful is being polite!

I add mine on to RAC, think its about £35 quid. No brakedown would only cover car and certainly got trailer. Worst case to be stuck with just the trailer

If you insure the trailer with NFU, and you dont need a horse policy to do so, you get free trailer breakdown cover. I works out cheaper when you add it up than the cheap companies.

Would insure anything with E&L, but thats another story.

Thanks everyone. I've always had the personal breakdown cover rather than an individual car so whatever Im driving, Im covered. When I rang they said the trailer (as long as its under 7m) will be covered but they dont arrange collection of the horses so think I'll add ERS trailer/horse cover as heard good things about them :D
