Hey,
I have a huge problem. I've desided to move my gelding from the farm on which I live in Amersham (Long story as to why) I've found a yard in Harefield and cleared it up with my landlord. The only problem I have now is finding a trailer for hire in Hillingdon Preferably Uxbridge or Harefield. I am looking to move him on the last two days of February 28th-29th or the first two days of March 1st-2nd. So I only need the trialer for about an hour and a half to get him to and from. Do yourselves or anybody you know live in that vercinity and have a trailer I could use? My boys a 15.1 hh Cob gelding. But I've been told I need a trailer or box suited to a horse of 17.1hh? Is this right? Would he not be ok in one built for a 16.2hh?

Any help is appriciated.

Thank you.

Nessie.

A normal trailer, Ifor, Bateson, Rice etc will do the job fine. Where did you get this rubbish about having to put a 15h1 in a trailer suitable for a 17h1? Does he wear platform Shoes?

He'll be fine in a normal trailer

Perhaps he throws his head around or rears in the trailer.... in which case I would think that you wont get many people keen to travel him incase he damages the trailer or himself.

Do you not know how he travels?? who has told you that he needs the extra room (previous owner)??

I travelled a cob for a favour and it ended up ripping my boots and scraping the interior of my trailer.... wouldnt do it again in a hurry!!

Good luck for your move though.
