Hi All,
I really need some advise on horse transport. I am really freaked out transporting my mare. She loads fine but when she is inside she does do silly things. I had a scare in an for Williams trailer where she reared over the breast bar, we managed to get her free as we released the breast bar from outside.
I don't know if to get a trailer again as I am scared next time the situation will be worse. I have looked at getting a horse van with a full bulk head wall so no breast bar for the horse to get over. Also in some vans the partion goes from the bottom to the top so there is no chance of the horse getting stuck over the partion either. If you were to load the horse on the right side they would be near the side door then there would be a quick escape route.
I could get a 7.5t lorry as she is fine in them. however I am concerned about the cost of maintaing a lorry.
Please can anyone give me some sound advise about where to go with this?
