Horse Transport Companies??

Can anyone recommend? I'm in east Nottinghamshire and will need to get her to south Hertfordshire. I have no idea how much this would cost either has I've no experience in travelling horses! any rough ideas? it's a 120 mile trip one way.

Seems to be alot of companies going all over the place but can anyone suggest someone inparticular? I'm worried as she wouldn't have travelled... for a LONG time. I have no idea what she'd be like loading, bad enough getting her in her stable but I dont want to go with someone who'll beat her up to get her in a trailer....

Sounds like you need to ask for an individual load

look on www.findhorsetransport.org

fill in the details and then send off-goes to all the legal and registered transporters listed

Pricing-nowadays with the diesel up/insurances etc would expect to pay from £1 per mile to £1.50p per mile

I've used Georgie from GG Equine http://www.ggequineservices.com/ a couple of times and she's been brilliant.

She has a mercedes box with the facility to either travel in a loose box style or whichever direction you want an individual horse. Both colt (who had never travelled before) and the mare and foal that we travelled arrived safely and relaxed. She is quiet with the horses and can provide a groom to travel with the horse too if you don't want to.

So highly recommened!!
