Horse Transport Companies

Can anyone recommend a horse transport company? I've found a few companies that do it, but I've not had any experience using them before?! I found one called Eric Gillie Ltd which seems quite good!

we've used eta before and the service was good
Eric gillies do seem to have a good rep although I haven't used them

I've only heard good things about that one, but will PM you about another one that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole!

It depends on where you are trying to move from and to and what you are moving, I've used GG Equine and Parkers, which are at different ends of the scale for size! Georgie gives a very personal service and parkers are a large but very professional firm and do regular foriegn trips.
Gillie's have been going for years, but can't comment as never used them.

I dont know where you are based but Humber Horse Box Hire are the best! I had to pick my pony up from Licoln (Im East Yorkshire) they only charged me £75 including driver, bridge toll and fuel. They where extremely proffesional and didnt even mind waiting while we got my pony ready. I would highy recomend but like i said it depends where you are

I can highly recommend Eric Gillies, fab drivers and horse travelled really well! I expected a sweaty stessed mare at the other end but she was perfectly happy when the ramp came down.

Always uses Oakley HGV horse lorries never those rubbish 2 box things

I'm another one for julie Magnus, moved mine a couple of times and very good with stressy horses, she does a lot of racehorses.

Eric Gillie is fabulous. I've used them a few times taking horses up n down the country. Highly recommend them! The lorries are amazing and the drivers are great. Horses travel very well.
