Horse transport/horse box hire

I'm hoping to start loaning a horse over the next few weeks. He's currently based near Chopwell and I'll be moving him to my yard in Allendale, west Northumberland. Does anyone know of anywhere I can hire a horse box or of any good and reasonably cheap horse transport services?

Yes & they are brilliant. Peter & Francis are fantastic- I wouldn't use anyone else!!

I used Youngs years ago. I didn't know they were still going. They took me and my friends to many pleasure rides.

I used betty's boxes before to move mine, self drive 3.5t - very easy to drive and use esp as it was a first for me and very accomodating people too. Have also heard good things about Youngs too

Where abouts in Allendale? I have already moved my horse but would be interested in how much you charge for transport. My horse is about 3 miles from my house where there is an outdoor school so I'd be interested in how much it would cost to move him for a lesson, if that makes sense!
