Hello everyone, well I will be handing in my notice on Monday when YO returns. I did think about leaving before hand but I thought the best approach was to go the totally legal route and stick word for word to my contract and that way I have a clear conscience.

I plan to pay what I owe and settle up on the Tuesday and would like to move my horses to the new place (4 miles up the road) on the Wednesday. I feel scared but excited at the same time. The new place is sooooooo relaxed and friendly and says my children are welcome to come and play at the yard and I can't believe the relaxed friendly attitude without all the rules and regulations which I have been surrounded by for the last year.

Can anyone tell me if there is a local horse transport company in Basingstoke or Reading or does anyone know of anyone who would help me move them? I would of course pay the market rate, but would really appreciate it they could help me load them as I have to be so careful with my pregnancy and I have little or no experience boxing and loading horses.

Please P.M. me if you can offer any help, and please do not post the yard on here again as it will just add fuel to the YO's fire, so to speak .... thank you x:D

Having met several people before who wanted to leave, I would urge you to go without delay, one lady told me the YO padlocked her horse into its stable until she went to the cash point & withdrew a large sum of cash, she was one of the ex liveries who took this YO to court. I cannot stress urgently enough that it will not be as simple as paying the livery & leaving, do it today. I am working so cannot help you, but if you google horse transport I am sure there are local companies, PLEASE DO NOT WAIT I am seriously concerned for your safety.

If its the yard i was at then yes the yard will be locked down as i saw it several times even to point that had to climb over gates to get to see my horse. dont know any horse transport im afraid. but PM me if need be as ill try and find some numbers for you.

Really pleased to hear you are leaving. I have been following this all week and have been in suspense waiting for your decision.

Good luck in finding transport and settling in.

Hope it all goes ok.

Found this on google - not based too far from Basingstoke.

This is Ramzi, know him really really well, he is my instructor, he transported my youngster for me when I got her last year, he is a close personal friend and I would not hesitate to recommend him, he will ALWAYS put the horses first, is kind, patient and professional, his lorry is always clean and he is always on time - or early!!!
He is helping me reschool my ex racer (that he picked up) has given me back my lost confidence with my WB when we had major issues and I personally wouldn't trust anyone else as I trust him.

Sounds like a good place to start! :D

I too have only heard brilliant things about Ramzi, he is my friends instructor and I will be using him too. I am sure he would be very helpful in the circumstances and will load them for you etc. Very good luck with your move

HumidClimate, glad to help. If you do ring Ramzi let him know the situation, it won't put him off but it will save any shocks when he gets there ! Good luck with the move, I have read all the posts and it sounds like you've had a pretty awful time of it, hopefully after next week things will start to look rosier for you, If I wasn't at work when you are moving them I'd offer to come and ride shotgun for you ! :D
