Excuse my ignorance! I am in the process of booking a transport company to move my horse from his current loan home back to me. The company I have booked have sent me their ts and cs, and in them they ask that the horse is insured for transportation. I double checked with my insurance company and they confirmed he is, but said it was an unusual question for a transport company to ask.
The transport company is insured to transport horses, but state that in the event of an accident the customer is liable for any damage, injury or death that occurs to (or is caused by) their horse. Is this normal for a transport company? If so, what does their insurance cover? I perhaps naively thought that if there is an accident then their insurance would cover injury....
Ta!
