pls help guys.

need to transport my old horse to Leics in the next few weeks, and i wondered if anyone knew of a good / cheap transporter to take a horse from Surrey to Leics.

pls can someone point me in the right direction as i've had one quote and not sure it's reasonable as nothign currently to compare it with.

failing that - anyone moving and taking a lorry and want a companion

I would contact the prof race horse lorry drivers, they can easily stick another one on and do a cash deal. Give your local racing yards a ring and see whats what, I'm sure you may be able to cadge a lift.

Would just say that good and cheap do not necessary fit in the same sentence unless you manage to jump on to a shared load.
For a registered and licenced transporter there are massive overheads which contribute to their charges, anybody significantly cheaper could be shaving costs off in an area that really matters
