Horse treat recipes?

Hi, it's my horse Stanley's 6th birthday tomorrow and I want to make him a cake or treats of some sort - does anyone have any recipes that their horse loves? I don't really want to give him anything that contains too much sugar as he's getting enough of that with the spring grass at the moment! Any suggestions appreciated

There are loads on the internet but a lot have molasses in. I used to mix up ginger, flour and water and bake in the oven. They looked digusting but mine loved them.

In the end I found a recipe online for carrot and oat cookies, they did contain molasses but I substituted some of that for water and he seems to love them!
