May seem like a silly question but when you clear poo from a horse walker do you switch it on slow & walk picking poos? I am on a new yard & have never used a walker & the owner is a bit scary!!

Depends what the flooring is- we have rubber bricks and if it's dry the leaf blower does a good job, if it's wet it's a sweeping job

I can't answer your question as never been on a yard with one, but welcome to the forum from another Dorset person, and there are a few others on here.

When the staff do our horse walker one stands outside at the controls and puts in on very slow whilst the other sweeps it along.

You can move the partitions yourself without it being switched in but it is hard work. You can also duck down and scramble under the rubber mats that hang down and seperate the partitions but they are quite heavy to move.

No one is expected to get the poo out if their horse poos in there, probably because its nearly always being used on our busy yard. And by the time eight horses have walked through it for 40 minutes and its dried out the next day it has a really nice consistency which actually provides cushioning for hooves.
