I am currently doing some research for a gait analysis experiment we intend to do and I am in need of information on horsewalkers.

When I was in America a few years back I came across a walker that appeared to be mobile and didnt have walls or dividers and horses were tied to the walker instead.

Does anybody know if they are available in the UK, or anything similar?

Not sure if they are available in UK, but what you are describing is the first horsewalkers that appeared on the continent - very few yards still use them, but they can be found :) They aren't mobile as such, though.

I am not sure if the picture above will work! The use hotwalkers like this in USA and AUS.

My old yard had a very large walker which they had got from Germany. It had space for 6 horses, with each section being about double the size of the normal British walkers. It was on a much bigger circle, and didn't come with a built in fence. We built on a post and rail fencing around the walker about 6 foot high. The yard owner told me that in Germany they built brick walls around there walkers, but she said they had an awful situation when a horse tried to roll whilst the walker was changing direction, and then got cast, and due to the brick wall being around the perimeter they couldn't get to the horse easily or quickly.
