After reading the article and looking at the aids she uses I reckon it's mostly parelli..mention of a carrot stick is usually the give away!
I find the pic on her website of two teenagers leaping backwards off unheld horses irresponsible in the extreme, who knows what would happen if anyone attempts to replicate that?
As for the BE competition results of this method, in 26 entries the rider has been placed four times.....
I get so cross when the media go mad over some new revolutionary method or other, and to call her a horse whisperer is an insult to people like Julie Dicker, who had a special gift that was proved to me numerous times.
I'm sure she is good at what she does, and some of her reasoning such as horses only have basic issues such as food/friends etc is in my opinion correct, but for goodness sake, don't call the person a Horse Whisperer, I have four or five horses here who would come into our house and lie down by the fire if left inside long enough..!
(no I'm not going to test it either, my husband suggested we did that to show how easy it is, I reckon the damage to the Chrstmas tree wouldn't be worth it...)
just realised this probably should be on lounge, but too late to move it now!
