my mare has always been a worrier but today she has come into season and cannot be put in her paddock next to her boyfriend as they seem to hurt themselves on the railings, trying to get to each other therefore i have had to put her in her paddock away from the yard but she will just not settle. i have given her some more calmer in a small feed and she has stopped running around like something possesed but she is pacing and generally will not relax and eat. what can i do to help her settle? she is going to be in this field for a while now as i really would like to keep the one at the yard for the depth of winter.
