Horse with bad back

Hi guys...quick query....my horse has suddenly got a bad back, i got on him and he ust sunk...any ideas what he might have done???
He is stupid in the field he plays he rears he charges around, could this have done something to him??
Any help would be very much appreciated!! thank you

I'm sure playing in the field could have put something out, a back prob can come on gradually over time aswell. I would get the vet out pdq.
