Horse has bad tooth, not eating 'as' much hay as usual and doesnt like his chin being stroked and has a little lump under his chin. Just the usual signs of teeth coming through or a wolf tooth? he's 5 years old so i imagine it is a wolf tooth? just wanted opinions on if riding him would 'hurt' him or cause alot of discomfort. And do any of you know when the lump goes down e.g in 1-2 days or a week ect thanks alot.

I'd get an EDT or vet out. If he's tender in his mouth I wouldn't ride him personally unless you were planning to use a hackamore or bitless bridle. The fact he's not eating properly suggests he is in pain or discomfort.

at 5 he should have all his adult teeth and it wouldnt be a WT on his chin. Sounds like an abcess of some sort if it is sore so best get an EDT out to have a look. Could be a number of things if it is affecting his eating so best not ride until it is seen by the vet or edt
