Horse with broken rib where your leg is on

Hi there he has had bone scan showed broken rib. His symptoms were spooking suddenly and me coming off!
Before the rib he had front ulcers then gut ulcers. He now in field till January. Anyone else had this?

Mine broke a rib (we suspect, didnt have ot xrayed but vet sure it was broken) after he got himself wedged on anti weave grills in old lorry. He was just backed at the time so we gave him 3 months off and had no problems at all when we brought him back into work. However he does have some fairly nasty scar tissue or something behind his elbow/over the broken rib which doesn't affect him ridden but means he is not food for the farrier in that foot as pulling it forward/backwards pulls on it. He is currently having it lasered when the physio is here and its helping a bit
