Horse with scurf, help please?

One at the horses at our yard has really bad dandruff like scurf, she wears rugs with a neck cover, has no rug rubs and the skin flakes just get worse when she's brushed, shes a welsh D and fairly fit. Any ideas what it could be?

Sounds like a supplement like Feedmark's equidermis would help. My big chap always gets a bit scurfy this time of year and this is what I feed him and it works wonders.

second equidermis, works really well. Altho its a bit expensive its really good stuff and definately worth the money

linseed is good for the coat or add oil to the diet

Any kind of oil will help I think, I used cod liver oil for my boy and it was gone in no time. x
