hi ,
i have a 6yrold tbx who is 17hh. i have had him 3 years and last year when i was working him he got a swollen right back fetlock. i gave him loads of time off in the field and i got him in a month ago and he was perfect , no swelling , nothing. i decided it may have been to much work on not strong enough limbs that caused it, so this time i walked him on the road for a month to strengthen them . after theses four weeks he was still perfect. so on Monday i started lightly schooling him on the grass in a big area so as not to stress his legs. the first day was fine and when i got him in on Tuesday the same fetlock as last year was really swollen all the way up to the hock. i hosed it down for ages and it made no difference, i walked him out and that didn't work so i left him in the field . the swelling has not improved at all and he is not lame on it and never has been. the vet came out today and has no clue as to what it is. any help would be much appreciated, please please help. thank you
