Been recommended this as he has had liver issues and mycotoxins aren't good for him.

Bought some Mycosorb and he will not eat it - tried EVERYTHING to disguise it!

Can I use anything else - anything natural - I was pointed towards charcoal but i don't think that will mop up the baddies!!

We introduced it about a month ago - amazing stuff! We started with about a half teaspoon per feed for about three days, then a full teaspoon, then one and a half. By one week in, they were getting three full measures morning and evening and eating everything up fine (we did 5 days loading at that dose, and now feed one scoop morning and evening).

They are all pretty good eaters though!

Thanks Brightbay he is usually very good, but he will not touch it with Mycosorb in it! It's annoying because my bespoke supplement I have made can have Mycosorb in it but I'm worried about having it added if he decides he doesn't like it!!

I'll try introducing it very slowly again! I think it's great stuff!

I had it added to my Equivita supp and they didn't even notice.

It seems its quite common to have them refuse it, can you start with a pinch and go from there?

I've seen big changes in mine since starting it :)

It's very strong smelling! Just try to find the amount he'll eat, and then build up. I know it's frustrating because you want to get them on the full amount asap, but the extra time is worth it. We're actually cutting down bucket feeds for summer and they're still eating it even when it's in a tiny amount of feed. Good luck!

ETA - huge changes in mine too - he was lethargic and flat, walk was slooow and trot was not happening. Within a couple of days he was back to fine form and is now firing on all cylinders and full of energy :D

I do think it helped him when I was giving it to him. But at that time he was on antibiotics and steroids for his liver so that might have been a lot of the issue!

It does smell though! Just be so much easier if I can have it put into my Equivita Supplement!
