Absolutely I wouldn't buy them either..... Definitely use an online pharmacy that is registered within the UK. You probably would save more money that buying from the US.

No way and I thought ebay was not able to sell medication ie horse wormers anymore? Wouldnt waste your money worrying if its real McCoy etc probably made in China.

It's Ivermectin, the same as in many UK wormers

So it says, but how could you be totally sure?

Buying any kind of thing that has a specific medical function from an online auction site seems dodgy to me. I'd rather pay the full amount from a trusted seller and have the certainty that what I've bought is what the box says.

The're from the states. Even if they did contain Ivermectin as stated, You would be breaking the law by giving them to your horse. Only UK licenced medication can be used in this country. The same applies to wormer bought in Southern Ireland.

Be very aware. The fake drugs market is very sophisticated and has extended to the veternary market. I've heard of wormer tubes containing toothpaste and carrier paste which can cause severe reactions, burning horses mouths.

IF the wormers are genuine, they could end up being very expensive by the time you've been hit with VAT - and been fined for importing 'illegal' drugs!!

And IF they are genuine, they would be the same as Eraquell which you can buy in the UK for - 20 for £4.95 each !

I'd want a MUCH bigger saving if I was going to take the risk!

Not every body wants, or can afford, to buy 20 at a time though. Apart from that, I would not buy from ebay, not that I thought they were allowed to sell them on there. Regardless of what the supposed ingredient is, it remains illegaltoi buy from outside the UK.

Only purchase wormers from genuine outlets. You are risking your horses life with anything else as they could contain anything (despite what they state on the advert or packaging).

I use the ones illustrated.
My Vet approved them.
I buy in bulk in the US and bring them back.

It is actually this :

Manufactured by Farnham. I think they may have products available in the UK.

I wouldn't touch with a bargepole. You will have no leg to stand on if something goes wrong. In fact I'm pretty sure this is illegal and I will be contacting the VMD first thing Tuesday morning.

Ebay have removed the listing now - you are not allowed to sell drugs - much to my dismay as I have just had a listing of mine removed for some bute I don't need any more!

Many wormers on eBay that are illegal in this country
Won't be aloud passed customs
So you could end up paying for wormers you may not receive
Use hyperdrug brilliantly priced and guaranteed on what you are getting

Well let's hope that they carry the uk licence mark or your vet could get in some serious trouble with AMTRA and BVA for approving unlicenced products.

Shes not in the UK :)

I ordered something years ago from the US, just the once, got hit for the tax and was gutted, didnt realise how it worked back then

Id always be wary of buying such things as wormers from eBay, even if it was allowed to sell them...

I use Westgate Labs for worm counts and Wormers-online for advice and discounted wormers
Dont forget to keep a record of what you have used, vets will have a restricted outlook, they read the answers off a chart, and charge the full price, so I would only use them for special cases like foals or animals in ill health.
