Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one? Or a self drive? Only needs to take one 15.3hh to take a brood mare quite a long distance to stud.

Legal and registered transporters listed on there also the self drive lorry section is very good.
If using a lorry and driver ensure that they have an operators licence and defra licence and all the necessary insurances.
Trading Standards are checking ALL horse lorries not only for passports but they are the enforcement for DEFRA now! As well as VOSA stopping lorries for the normal checks and the new driver hours coming in on 11th April.
