Just the matting i mean?

My lorry is double boarded and is fine as i check it weekly from underneath..

But it has the granulistic rubber in the horse area and this has started to look tatty and i obviously cant see the floorboards as the rubber is stuck to them.

I want to replace the granulistic with normal matting so i can pull the mats up and keep an eye on the floor but i cant decide what mm i need - i dont want huge stable mats as they weigh a ton.

Any ideas?

When I had my lorry, I phoned around companies that used conveyor belts as they have to replace them often and are only too happy to get rid of them.....I rubber matted out my lorry for free

We tried the conveyor belt in our old trailer but found it slippy when it got wet or mucky even with shavings down.
But some companies do 11mm mats and these should be fine in a horse box, also have a look at the interlocking gym mats as some of these are hardwearing and non slip.
Hope this helps.

Someone I knows father was a school care taker, she put down the rubber that is used by the swings/slides in play grounds. Not at all heavy and cheap!

Doesnt conveyer belt matting have metal running throught it?

[/ QUOTE ]No, mine didnt....it came in strips, so i just laid it on the floor and cut it to size if i remember rightly......I dont remember it being slippery either....

Just put a new 25mm Phenol board floor in my truck and have 25mm mega heavy rubber stable mats over the top ( came with lorry)but when OH finidhes welding in the toilet cubicle i will replace them with 11mm
