Ok, before I bought I'd get a potential box checked, but I'm currently fielding adverts and after some help!

Is 200,000 miles a lot for a diesel engine? I'm looking at 3.5 tonne boxes, mainly conversions, as have a small budget and only want something for local shows, but I'd say using it 6 times a month, maybe a bit more.

What sort of checks can I do when I first see it- obviously I'm only going to get my mechanic to check when i think I've found something suitable.

Any of help would be good thanks

Its quite a lot for a small van!! it would be low for a 7.5 ton , However sometimes that sort of mileage is better than say 100 k miles which may be ready for some big bills as most things will do 100k before they start to need major repairs , so it must have been fairly well looked after to get there, if your mecanic thinks it looks a runs ok and you arnt going to do a big weekly mileage and the price is right should be ok...
