Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could help us?

Yesterday we were meant to be going to a show, we'd booked a horsebox 4 weeks ago - however when we rang the woman on Saturday, her excuse was "I didn't know you still wanted me, I didn't know where the farm was" (she did) so, understandably, we're fairly annoyed!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Does anybody know or has used a horsebox hire either one you drive yourself or one that is driven by the company? Preferably not a wagon but a 3.5t or a trailer - it needs to hold a 16.2hh, 14.2hh and 13.1hh (2 at a time not all 3 will be going in it) and if it is driven, we are looking at distances up to Ainsdale beach.

Whilst on the subject, we're looking at selling our wagon once we've done it up as we're not using it enough to justify it so does anyone know any reputable sites we can look at for 3.5t and similiar boxes? (we aren't ready to sell yet, just for an idea!)
Thanks in advance!

County car hire have an ifor box, I think. Its basically a extra wide ifor trailer on a transit van/lorry chasis - hard to explain, but basically a very roomy 2 horse ifor trailer with a steeper ramp, which drives like a transit van (ie, very easy). Don't know their phone no, but will be online..

That sounds good, is that drive yourself or is it driven? and are they reliable :P we are still locked in an argument with the woman who let us down yesterday - good job it was only a local show and not a qualifier!!

Its self drive. They were fine with me (five years ago now) I think when its booked its online, and definate - so paid for.. someone I know vaguely hired it last week, so it is still around. Think they swop it for new every two years. they are a car and van hire place. When I had it it was a ford transit, and as easy to drive as a medium car!
