Have any of you guys driven into the London Emissions Zone with your horse box and been caught out. I have heard if you do it once you get a caution and a warning not to come back in the zone again without paying the fee. I would appreciate your experience of the whole damn b****y money making scheme. When we take out boxes to be MOT they have to have an emissions test in order to get the MOT seems so wrong

Depends on the lorry most newer than 2001 are ok until 2012 then they have to be euro 4 compliant you can check on the TFL website, check with your vosa test station some older lorrys will pass a test and you can the go into the lez zone
not sure about inforcement just have the idea they send you a nasty fine if you stray in the zone with a non compliant lorry

dont even risk it, the people at TLF dont even seem to know what they are doing anyway and will fine you for sure. We got round the LEZ by buying a 1973 tax exempt box, we checked it complied before buying it,,,, was told yes

Then earlier this year we got a letter saying we had a fine for driving in the zone, rang up no one seemed to know what they were taking about and tried to say on one day in January the box didnt comply... but every other day it did?? ERrrr no we took it further and of course the fine was over turned... but have known lots of people risk it and get fined!!

If you go in you will get fined. They pick you up on cameras and the fine comes through the post. There is no first-time warning. My friend got fined as a result of getting lost!
