Horsebox insurance...anyone used...

Anthony D Evans....horsebox innsurance and breakdown cover.

Any feedback would be great. Also any recommendations for reasonable prices and good service from other companies too please.

I insure my box through them. Never had to make a claim (touch wood) but they were very good when starting out and reasonable too

we use Drayton Insurance as our broker and they are really good, we are actually insure through Equity Red Star.

I use KBIS and they are fab... well I've never had to make a claim, but they are very cheap!

Antony evan are brilliant!!!! I found them very reasonable but not yet made a claim and dont hope to either.

The breakdown cover is fab and when the exhaust pip came off the box going down the motorway ( empty ) the resue services came out and put the lorry onto a HUGE lorry and took at back to my yard. I wasnt charged a bean for this but my friend who is with some other equine breakdown cover company got bills for breaking down!.

They are very nice to deal with and very honest i found.

I've filled in A Evans forms online twice to ask them for a quote and they can't be bothered to call me back:-(

Shearwater were very helpful to me but I didn't take a policy out with them because last year at its testing my lorry had a prohibition order put on it and it was towed home by the breakdown people. They warned me at the time that if I was thinking of changing my insurance to check that MOT failure was covered for towing. Unfortunately the policy at Shearwater does not cover that - although they were very helpful in finding that out for me. Will consider them for other insurance in future.

So I'm back with SEIB and their services.

(actually my lorry had to be towed back from its test TWICE last year but the second time it had passed - but the radiator had gone)

A Evans were fab for me when I broke down. Didn't have to wait long at all. Never claimed though but I couldn't see a problem.
When I rang for quotes they were over £100 cheaper than anyone else. Now though I rang this year and Shearwater were very close but I stayed with the A Evans.
I'd recommend them

i am with anthony evans had made a claim and they were very good. no problems with call out as well. only thing to be aware of is that every year they reduce the cover of horsebox by 10% which i was annoyed about as we had added lots of extras in one year alone. they would not budge on that.
