i am looking for recommendations for horsebox insurance and breakdown.
did you all purchase insurance and breakdown from the same place or did you shop around and do it seperatly.

also i need to pay for it monthly, i have noticed a lot of places only now split it into 3 payments and after purchasing my lorry i dont have the cash to pay for it upfront!

any recommendations would be good.

For my first box recently I shopped around loads.
I got my insurance with Anthony D Evans, they were the cheapest I could find and got everyone on the insurance for £200, other companys such as nfu would only insure me and my mum for more.
I did pay for mine upfront though as I had budgeted for it.

I got the breakdown through equine rescue in the end as they offer home start and although it was a ridiculous amount (£320!, I know!) I wanted to do that for the first year as I don't know the box and it is our first one. I'm not sure if they do monthly payments but they are a very friendly company and fixed me up straight away as we were

The other good company for rescue is Organisation of Horsebox Owners, they do not do home start but apparently the service is excellent and they are similar priced to Equine Rescue for the similar policy.

hi, which breakdown did you go for? i notice they have different packages. was it the traveller at home or the equine and tyre?

It was traveller at home. Just for peace of mind really, and when you've made yourself broke by buying a lorry whats a few more hundred!!! LOL!
