Hi Guys, just a quick one

I've recent purchased a part converted Ford Iveco Horsebox, which has no lighting installed in the horse area/living at all.

Can we wire this up from the Truck Batteries (truck has two batteries) for now, until we accumulate a seperate leisure battery?

We only need two lights, one for horses and one for living. Just whilst we load horses of an evening.

Has any of use directly wired your lighting from the truck batteries before? Is it as simple as it sounds, two lights, one switch, few meters of cable?

Yes you can just make sure you fit a fuse and remember they are 24v so if you buy caravan lights you will need to get new 24v bulbs then if you do the living and have a seperate leisure batery and charger you can go back to the 12v ones,,

You can if you like but I would recommend going that bit extra and providing a seperate power source, ie another battery. There is nothing worse than draining your lorry batteries for the sake of a few lights and then not being able to start your lorry to get home. I know it will take a while to drain the lorry batteries, but it WILL always happen eventually.
