Hello all,

We have recently bought a new horse box, although extremely old and 70s is probably the best way to describe it.
We are going to do it up ourselves, and have seen a few boxes with sofa/table solutions where the table lowers, and once covered in a sofa cushion, makes the area into a bed/very large sofa.
After searching the internet for hours, I still haven't found any info on where we can get one, do you have one in your lorry? and if so, do you know where I can get one?
Also, does anyone know of a good company to reupholster sofas and luton mattresses that isn't too expensive?

Thanks in advance,

Laura

WE have done a couple of lorries, and we avoided equestrian lorry people for this part. We did a pro horse part, and had the basic living, but for my last lorry we had a camper van company do the bed/cushions. This was quite luxurious with new cushions and leather upholestry, all slotted together.

For the one before we had a basic frame and table that dropped into th frame done by a horsebox company, then had coach seat company and we bought secondhand caravan seats, the coach seat company stripped them back and re-made into lovely seats in fuzzy felt.

Both looked smart for years, and were good for both seats and as a double bed.

We made a storage cupboard in ours and then above that is a drop down frame for a bed. Did it ourselves and then bought a huge piece of foam for the mattress and found a local seamstress to make up cushion covers. Perhaps try to find a local handyman or as Red 1 says a caravan company. They tend to be very good at keeping the weight down.
